Sustainable St. Agnes is going to be having a quieter year in 2019, while some of our top movers and shakers focus on other priorities. But whilst there will be a bit less going on in terms of events and news on the website, we’ll still be providing updates via our Facebook and Instagram pages.

2016 Seed & Tool Swap

Our 2016 Seed & Tool Swap is coming up on 13th February.  Come to the Miners & Mechanics Institute to swap your unwanted seeds and tools, watch our pole lathe in operation, browse a selection of Permaculture books, look at a beehive, see a modern-day scythe, and much more …  For full details click on the Seed Swap panel on the menu bar above.  Don’t miss it!

Maker Space Launch

Aaron’s Maker Space launched at the beginning of December, 2015.  Five people attended the first session, and learned to program and use the 80 watt laser cutter to make Christmas decorations, small wooden boxes, and other items.  There will be a session on the second Saturday of every month in 2016.  YOU could design and make your own stuff at Aaron’s Maker Space workshop – let your imagination run free.  A fully insured and virtually free making resource right here in St Agnes Parish – how can you resist?  Just click on the MAKER SPACE tab on the menu bar above for information about signing in for one or more of the sessions in 2016.

Seed Swap 2015

It’s that time of year again to get swapping seeds for the season!

At the MMI in St Agnes, 10am-2pm on Saturday 21st Feb 2015

How does it work?
1. Bring along left over seed packets, seeds collected from your own plants or halve a pack you already have!
2. Find out what others have brought along, and take away seeds that you fancy growing.
3. If you have any unwanted tools (particularly garden), bring them along for swapping or donating. No electrical/power tools please.

Free Entry, but donations appreciated to cover costs
